Stratia is hiring a Marketing Director! This is a full-time exempt position based in Pasadena, CA. See below for the full job description. To apply, please email your cover letter and resume to alli@stratiaskin.com.

MARKETING DIRECTOR

Pasadena, CA

Stratia makes skincare that works. Our science-focused skincare line is a cult favorite among online beauty communities, and we develop and manufacture all our products in-house. Stratia is growing fast and we’re looking to hire the fourth member of our team.

Up until recently, all of Stratia’s growth was organic; we didn’t pay for marketing or advertising until late 2018, instead relying on word of mouth and social media. For a long time, we were just keeping up with demand, leaving us with no time to pursue anything else. We’ve expanded our capacity to the point that we can now stay ahead of that organic growth and want to start chasing some additional growth. That’s where you come in.

This position is in charge of developing, executing, and optimizing all paid/non-organic marketing, including Facebook & Google ads, email marketing, influencer campaigns, media outreach, etc. You’ll work closely with our social media coordinator, who will help you develop content to use in campaigns, and you will be executing all of our media buying directly. You should be self-motivated and have lots of ideas; we don’t want to re-tread the same tired marketing tactics. You’ll have autonomy and trust to try new things and find new ways to engage our customers. You should have plenty of experience with digital marketing, especially in the beauty industry. This is a new position, so we’ll be working together to build this position from the ground up.

Stratia strives to create a supportive, open, positive workplace. We offer full health/dental/vision benefits, 3 weeks PTO (4 weeks after two years with us), half days every Friday, and an office dog named Lacy who just wants to love you. This is a full-time exempt position. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Build, plan, and implement the overall digital marketing strategy

  • Create, monitor, and optimize social media ads (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, etc.)

  • Create new and creative marketing campaigns around product launches, influencer promotions, etc.

  • Develop channel, segment and market strategies to enable targeted marketing

  • Develop and implement email marketing strategy

  • Manage, measure, and optimize all marketing initiatives

  • Prepare and manage digital marketing budget

  • Track SEO and Google Analytics data and make complex analysis

  • Research competition, investigate benchmarks and provide suggestions for improvement

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience in digital marketing; experience with beauty brands strongly preferred

  • Successfully created and managed Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Google ads

  • Ability to create, execute, and optimize email marketing; experience with MailChimp is a plus

  • Working knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and Facebook/Instagram analytics

  • Awareness of the current beauty/skincare landscape

  • Proven ability to manage budgets and deadlines

  • Ability to achieve goals and create new ones with minimal supervision

  • Desire to grow and evolve with the company

  • Creative thinker who wants to build something new

Stratia is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
